Our Story
Our Journey with the Eco Collective
As a group of passionate designers in Australia, we encountered numerous obstacles when trying to showcase our eco-friendly work. Applications to runways and events were often met with rejections due to requirements that simply didn’t make sense—like needing a bricks-and-mortar store or high sales volumes. It became increasingly clear that stepping stones for eco-focused designers like us were missing.
Our breakthrough came when we were invited to New York Fashion Week, where our designs were celebrated with great success. It was astonishing to discover that showcasing our work in NYC was more accessible and affordable than in our own country. If our creations were embraced in New York, we knew they deserved the same recognition in Australia. The experience in NYC—from PR opportunities and interviews to after-parties and connections—was transformative, and it inspired us to bring that same energy back home.
Now, our team is thrilled to introduce Australia’s first eco-friendly runway show specifically designed to support emerging startups. The Eco Collective offers a full-spectrum experience: from runway exposure and showrooms to interviews, PR, and a groundbreaking VR showcase that brings designs to life in a futuristic way. With awards and more, our mission is to provide eco-fashion with the platform it needs to shine and succeed. Together, we’re building experiences that will propel labels into the next exciting phase of their journey.
